This year the international festival L’arte del arco  will be held for the 12^th time. RustemAbyazov, the conductor, came up with idea of this musical project while touring. Nowadays it has become a five-day marathon with concerts in the Republican cities, world premieres and free master-classes for children from the stars of classical music.

“Lately several festivals have been challenging, everything changed radically at the last moment. We hope that this season the programme will go as planned. We are expecting wonderful soloists, who will be introduced to the public in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny,” – said RustemAbyazov, the art director of the festival and Kazan chamber orchestra La Primavera.

The 12^th festival invites violinists: DomenicoNordio from Italy and AntalZalai from Hungary, and celloist Sergey Ponomarev. The audience will hear again the solo double bass of Aleksey Vlasov. As a part of the festival L’arte del arco there will be another festival for the first time – it is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the maître Abyazov. It will be opened by the performance of EleonoraKarpukhova, a Moscow pianist. In the first evening Abyazov will play the violin.

The programme features compositions by Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, Piazzolla, Koussevitzky, Frolov, Denisov and others. The concerts will be given in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. By the long-lasting tradition the invited soloists will give free master-classes for students of children’s musical schools and musical colleges in Kazan.
