The artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra Rustem Abyazov suggested a big tour along the great Trans-Siberian Railroad - this year it will be 125 years since the beginning of its construction. The concert program was dedicated to another important event in the calendar - the Year of the Russian cinema. The tour included Vladivostok, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude, Khabarovsk, Chita.
"I wanted to have a tour in Siberia and the Far East for a long time and finally my dream came true, - Rustem Abyazov said, - Our orchestra was very warmly welcomed in each of the cities, and we visited 13 cities during our concert tour. All the concerts in all the cities were of great interest – and to amateurs and to professionals, people of the Tatar diaspora came to the concerts."
For the first time the tour program was introduced in Kazan last December. It included a work by Leonid Lyubovskiy, fragments of which are used in the film "N 9", famous soundtracks - music from the films "Limelight," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Jolly Fellows", "Three Little Pigs", as well as a suite by Modest Mussorgskiy "Pictures at the exhibition".
"Pictures at the Exhibition" was accompanied by a cartoon. The conductor of the Canadian Chamber Orchestra gave it as a present to me. It was not easy to play at the same tempo as the Canadians – but otherwise the music would not match the video, and we managed to do it, the audience was happy, "- said Abyazov.
Trans-Siberian tour program will be included into a charity project in support of Ronald McDonald House "Listen to the movies" - the concert will take place on the 4th of October. Before the official opening of the season, which is scheduled for the 12th of October, the musicians will also be able to give a concert from the new educational subscription "What's there inside?"
